Workshop overview
Medical CBT is specifically designed for the ultra-brief appointments typical of primary care. In this module you'll learn the essentials of a skill that may fundamentally change how you cope with the all-important psychological side of medical practice.
You'll learn flexible tools to integrate with your existing approaches to major depression, persistent depression (“dysthymia” until DSM-5), chronic worry, chronic pain, panic disorder, non-compliance, substance abuse, illness anxiety, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, and more.
Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is the CME Director of CBT Canada, and the prime developer of medical CBT. He has presented over 500 workshops, including over 50 for the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.
Is this workshop right for you? Ten-Minute CBT is an introductory workshop that reviews ten of the 52 tools covered in the original CBT Tools module, along with some highly-practical tips harvested from other three-hour modules. If you'd like a high-impact introduction, or if you'd like a refresher of the material you took before, Ten-Minute CBT is an excellent choice.

CBT Canada won the National CME Program Award from the College of Family Physicians of Canada for providing "exceptional learning experiences". CBT Canada was also the first organization to be authorized by the CFPC to provide three-credits-per-hour CME. One accreditation reviewer wrote, "Two words: superlative & exemplary".
