Workshop overview

Many people suffer from anxiety all their lives—a bloody shame given how effective CBT can be. Patients, family, friends—and even the occasional non-surgical doctor: nobody is immune.

Childhood anxiety has become alarming. OSDUHS (the longest-running school survey) found that 51% of Ontario students live with moderate-to-serious psychological distress (2023 data). Is the new normal "not coping"?

Here's the good news: those able to harness the power of CBT remain much more calm and focused. And they don't just suffer less: they unlock a competitive advantage. They are more likely to excel in their studies, thrive at work, and enjoy their lives a lot more.

This highly-practical CME works through case studies of excessive worry, generalized anxiety disorder and common contemporary fears. The focus is on cognitive & behavioral techniques that take ten minutes or less. Participants are encouraged to bring and discuss real-life cases.

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is the CME Director of CBT Canada, and the prime developer of medical CBT. He has presented over 500 workshops, including over 50 for the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.
