The complete CBT package
Next session: Wed, November 4, 2026 (12:00PM–3:30PM Eastern)
Earlybird deadline: Fri, October 30, 2026 at 5:00PM Eastern
Workshop overview
Aaron Beck, the "father of CBT", was asked during a dinner party if a novel therapy tool was part of CBT. He replied, “Is there solid proof that it works?” The guest nodded yes. Beck grinned: “Then it is now.”
CBT is the Great Assimilator—any intervention backed by evidence eventually earns its place. Its strength lies in a pragmatic, ever-evolving approach that integrates what works.
Since Aaron Beck’s Version 1.0, CBT has been on a relentless path of improvement, continually unburdening itself of low-yield components and incessantly embracing next-gen ones. If your CBT for depression know-how comes from a brief residency session or a training years ago, it’s likely just a glimmer of what’s current.
This workshop is a powerful integration of CBT with other respected modalities*, both old and new. Join us and you’ll acquire powerful techniques that brighten lives like never before—tools designed for your most intense practice days.
As always, we assume your appointments are brief, averaging only ten minutes. With that in mind, we teach only the most impactful and practical tools. Topics include:
- Recognizing antidepressant alexithymia
- Identifying and managing empathy addictions
- Targeting depressogenic core beliefs
- Disrupting rumination spirals
- Uncovering rational reasons for optimism
- Cultivating learned hopefulness
- Harnessing therapeutic persuasion and the "physics" of CBT
- Structuring goalification, scaling, and I/O charts
- Prescribing strategic behavioral antidepressants
- Overcoming behavioral inertia
- Enhancing motivation with the CUE question
- Boosting willpower with targeted strategies
- Breaking through reductionistic stagnation
- Releasing the past and fiercely focusing on the future
* CBT integrates classic and cutting-edge tools from modalities like ACT, BA, CFT, DBT, EFT, ET, FAP, GT, IFS, IPT, MBCT, MBSR, MCT, MI, NT, PST, REBT, RO-DBT, SFT, ST, STPP, and TA (glossary). We note tools' origins and alternate names to encourage deeper dives.
CBT for Depression provides physicians with a clean, contemporary, and comprehensive kit to more effectively manage a sadly common human affliction.
Join us for a highly practical approach to brightening lives. Be sure to register by Friday, October 30 to save $200.
