⚠️ SUSPENSION OF WORKSHOPS ⚠️
Effective January 1, the CFPC intends to eliminate three-credit-per-hour CME. We cannot in good conscience participate in a system that
waters down the quality of CME while demanding up to 167 more non-clinical hours from physicians per cycle
during a national health care crisis.
Accordingly, CBT Canada is suspending general operations*
for the entire Winter Academic Term (Jan 1–Mar 31, 2026).

The End of the Three-Credit Era
Effective December 31, 2025, the College of Family Physicians of Canada is discontinuing the three-credit-per-hour category. You may encounter the occasional legacy reference to "three credits" as we
update a decade of materials. Thank you for your patience.
Three brand-new workshops
1. Ancho Collection. We're pleased to present two workshops in collaboration with McGill University again this year, both on December 4. PsychUpdate's brand-new Ancho Collection runs from 9:00AM–12:30PM, and Dysthymia: CBT's Pathway out of Chronic Depression & Suicidality runs from 1:00PM to 4:30PM. Both are held c/o Zoom. Each is 3.0 hours and certified for 9.0 Mainpro+ credits. Register before the earlybird deadline to save $200.
2. Functional Disorders. Tired of saying "I don't know what else to say" to patients with medically unexplained symptoms? Join us on February 27 for Functional Disorders: Freedom from Frequent Frustration. Back by popular demand, you'll master evidence-based CBT strategies for nine challenging conditions—including dementia worry, fibromyalgia, IBS, illness anxiety, and tinnitus. Save $200 when you register before February 20.
3. Teen CBT. Join us February 25 for the fifth offering of Teen CBT: Guiding Adolescent Growth. You'll gain tools to help teens navigate today's rising mental health challenges—including device & social media addictions, sleep deprivation, safetyism, eco-anxiety, and video gaming. This practical, evidence-based course includes GPA Science tips to boost academic performance. Secure your spot & save $200 when you register early.

over 300 physicians insist upon 3:1 in 2026
Medical CBT is a streamlined adaptation of cognitive behavior therapy for ten-minute medical visits. Physicians trained in medical CBT enjoy lower stress, improved patient outcomes, and greater job satisfaction (reports). Choose the option that works best for you:
1. An introductory workshop (not required)
2. A broad PsychUpdate (30 papers in 3 hours)
3. An in-depth module (12 topics; order flexible)
Whatever path you choose, you'll learn to provide better psychological care within your routine appointments —while earning three-credits-per-hour. All workshops have earlybird deadlines. Register now to save $200.
