CBT Singapore
Earn valuable Mainpro-C credits from the euthymogenic winners of the CFPC's CPD Program Award (2013)—and explore one of the most modern and inspiring destinations on earth: the extremely successful city-state of Singapore.
CBT Singapore will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay. The workshop, entitled Enhancing Personal Effectiveness, runs from 9:00AM to 12:15PM.
Enhancing Personal Effectiveness
Leveraging CBT Tools to Live a More Successful Life
Today's CBT provides many scientifically-tested tools to help growth-oriented individuals “self-actualize” (i.e., optimize their personal potential). State-of-the-art CBT includes a collection of powerful techniques for overcoming procrastination, optimizing time management, decreasing rumination, letting go of the past, silencing self-criticism—and improving decision-making. This module will equip you with versatile CBT tools to boost the functioning and improve the mental health of patients, dependents—and the ongoing project called “you”.
Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nicely warmed up after giving over 400 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.
NOTE: Although the workshop may be taken on its own, we encourage you to consider the Asian CME Cruise beginning 48hrs later, on April 11. Arriving a few days earlier in Singapore for this workshop will give you a chance to overcome some of your jet lag and to enjoy the city. Well-behaved non-medical spouses may audit this workshop free of charge.

How safe is your city? Singapore's crime cases are the lowest in over 30 years. The murder rate was 0.2 per 100,000 in 2012, which means you should feel less safe in Canada (1.6) particularly in Winnipeg (5.6). Drug abuse rates are the world's lowest (UN data). And last year there wasn't a single "snatch theft" for an 80 day stretch. Even white-collar crime is uncommon: Transparency International ranks Singapore the 3rd least corrupt country in the world, tied with Norway (2013 stats).
