The ultra-modern Aria Las Vegas

February 21-23, 2018

36.0 Mainpro+ credits

Tuition $895 $500

This CME respects your time. This workshop is certified at the highest level (three-credits-per-hour) by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Our 3:1 CME saves you an incredible amount of time (and therefore money) over 1:1 CME. Just have a look at the five-year benefit calculations

Vacation CME has many advantages over local CME. See what your colleagues are saying, and explore the case for it being four-credit-per-hour CME.

CBT Las Vegas will be held Wednesday, February 21 to Friday, February 23, 2018 at the five-star Aria Resort in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Workshop hours are 8:00AM to 12:15PM on all three days, leaving you free afternoons and evenings to play.

The CME is the acclaimed "triple strength" CBT Tools module (you'll earn 36.0 Mainpro+'s from just 12.0 workshop hours). Join us in Las Vegas & you'll learn a multitude of ultra-brief CBT techniques to make your work much easier with both medical and psychiatric patients (cases).

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nicely broken-in after giving over 400 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.

Terrific workshop... 'spot on' relevant... engaging & enthusiastic... high impact professionally & personally... I will definitely be back for more.

Fun in Las Vegas

Las Vegas never stops booming. Every year new attractions open, with an emphasis on "bigger" and "better". Las Vegas is a destination with something for everyone:

The Five-Star Aria

The Aria is a new luxury resort on the Las Vegas Strip that is part of the ultramodern $9.2 billion CityCenter Complex, the most expensive private construction project in US history. The public art alone is valued at over $40 million. The Aria is AAA five-diamond rated, and the Aria's Sky Suites are rated #2 out of 264 hotels in Las Vegas.

There are 16 restaurants as well as 10 bars and clubs within Aria, covering a total of about 250,000 sq ft. You may recognize some of them from the 2013 film Last Vegas, starring Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline—and the Aria itself.

The Aria is the world's largest LEED Gold (i.e., ultra-green) hotel, and Popular Mechanics says it's "the most technologically advanced hotel ever built". There's no doubt that the Aria and the attached Shops at Crystals are a destination in themselves.

For a limited time only we have rooms at the Aria Resort from $165/night. Consider arriving a few days before and/or staying a few days after, and our group's rates will still apply (while supplies last!). Reserve soon to avoid weeping +/- gnashing of teeth. Book online or call (866) 359-7757.

A tardy chief

We work with some truly first-class venues (e.g., the Aria) which often deservedly sell out months in advance. Unfortunately, some doctors share traits with the mere mortals they treat, including the tendency to procrastinate. Regrettably, even the most strident cries of "Do you know who I am?" cannot secure the Chief of Staff (or any other Minor Deity) a suite when none is available. You owe it to yourself (and your travelling companions) to book as soon as possible.

Rarely do we have much to say about airports, but the new international terminal in Las Vegas really is terrific. It opened on June 27, 2012 at a cost of $2.4 billion, and they did an extraordinary job. The design is top-notch, both aesthetically and functionally.
