Vacation CME has many advantages over local CME. See what your colleagues are saying, and explore the case for it being four-credit-per-hour CME.

CBT Hong Kong will be held at the Sheraton Hong Kong on Monday, August 14, 2017. Workshop hours are 9:00AM to 4:30PM. A catered lunch is included.

The CME is the acclaimed Ten-Minute CBT workshop, which reviews high-impact tools for busy physicians. "Good enough" CBT can be integrated into ten-minute primary care appointments. In this six-hour crash course, Dr. Greg Dubord will teach you the essentials of a skill that may fundamentally change how you deal with mental health issues. The flexible medical CBT tools you'll learn can be very helpful in dealing with major depression, persistent depression (“dysthymia” until DSM-5), chronic worry, chronic pain, panic disorder, non-compliance, substance abuse, and much more.

1. Learn to break patients away from their "empathy addictions"

2. Learn to structure ten-minute appointments to maximize impact

3. Learn the vital importance of not working harder than most patients

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and the prime developer of medical CBT. He has presented over 400 workshops, including over 50 for the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year. Dr. Dubord is the CPD Director for CBT Canada, which received the National CPD Program Award from the College of Family Physicians of Canada for providing "exceptional learning experiences”

Hong Kong

  • Aberdeen is a fishing village where you can take a sampan ride among the fishing junks, houseboats and floating restaurants
  • Avenue of Stars, located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, is not only a salute to eminent Hong Kong film workers, but is also one of the ideal vantage points for visitors to appreciate "A Symphony of Lights".
  • Disneyland Resort on Lantau Island incorporates Chinese culture, customs, and traditions—including feng shui.
  • Giant Buddha at Lantau Island beside the Po Lin Monastery is one of the world's largest.
  • Golden Bauhinia (aka the "golden bokchoy") is the symbol of Hong Kong. Located beside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, it serves as the backdrop for the daily flag-raising ceremony.
  • Hong Kong Wetland Park, located at Tin Shui Wai, is a world-class conservation, education and tourism facility.
  • Lan Kwai Fong is known as Hong Kong’s buzzing centre of restaurants, clubs and bars.

  • Ngong Ping 360 comprises the 5.7 km Ngong Ping ropeway, a 25-minute cable car ride which offers a spectacular view of Lantau Island and Ngong Ping Village.
  • Ocean Park at the southern part of Hong Kong Island, provides an exciting mix of entertainment, education and conservation facilities.
  • Repulse Bay at the southern part of Hong Kong Island, famous for its wide and wave-lapped beach, is popular with locals and visitors alike.
  • Railway Clock Tower is a landmark from the age of steam, a reminder of Hong Kong’s colonial heritage and a popular photo opportunity.
  • sky100 is located on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre, Hong Kong’s tallest building, and offers spectacular panoramic views of the city.
  • Stanley Market is a popular market town that offers crisp sea environs and bargain buys.
  • Symphony of Lights, the "World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" (according to Guinness), is staged around Victoria Harbour at 8PM every night.
  • Temple Street Night Market brings order to chaos with its souvenirs, snacks, opera singers and fortune tellers.
