CBT Dominican
Earn 36.0 Mainpro+ credits from the winners of the CFPC's National CME Program Award—and have a fantastic February getaway!
This CME respects your time. This workshop is certified at the highest level (three-credits-per-hour) by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Our 3:1 CME saves you an incredible amount of time (and therefore money) over 1:1 CME. Just have a look at the five-year benefit calculations.
Vacation CME has many advantages over local CME. See what your colleagues are saying, and explore the case for it being four-credit-per-hour CME.
Many physician leaders have been trained by CBT Canada over the past twenty years. Alumni include CFPC presidents (both national & provincial), department chairs, residency training program directors—and even a few doctors who are comfortable using drills & saws. No shirt, no shoes, no CME. However, what you do during non-CME hours is up to you. The CMPA now refers to physician well-being as "the missing quality of care indicator", because it so powerfully predicts patient outcomes. Physician, recharge yourself!
CBT Dominican will be hosted February 11-13, 2019 at the fabulous Iberostar 4-in-1 complex in Punta Cana. Workshop hours are only 8:00AM to 12:15PM on all three days, leaving you free afternoons & evenings to rest, relax & play.
The CME is the acclaimed "triple strength" CBT for Anxiety module (you'll earn 36.0 Mainpro+ credits from just 12.0 workshop hours). Join us and you’ll learn a marvellous set of ultra-brief techniques to help patients overcome shyness, worry, panic & other common anxiety disorders.
Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nicely broken-in after giving over 500 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year.
Can't make CBT for Anxiety in Punta Cana in February? No worries! CBT for Anxiety is held in Punta Cana every three years. And if you can't hang in there until winter 2022, there are many other terrific locations.
Iberostar's 4-in-1 complex in Punta Cana
Iberostar is a Spanish hotelier specializing in five-star properties, and one of the top all-inclusive resort chains in the world.
The Grand Hotel Bavaro is the adults-only area of Iberostar's acclaimed four-resort complex in Punta Cana. It's rated #1 out of 113
hotels in Punta Cana, and #2 out of 439 hotels in the entire Dominican Republic. For a limited time only, we are were able to offer 7-night Grand packages for
$6,889. SORRY: The Grand has been 100% sold out since October.
The Bavaro Suites are the 2nd most luxurious on the Iberostar property. All-in pricing for a 7-night Bavaro Suites package is a very reasonable $5,058 per couple. For those travelling solo, an all-in 7-night package is $3,029. Those figures are based upon a one-week getaway (February 9-16, 2019), including return airfare from Toronto, all taxes, and a heck of a lot of fun.
If you're on a budget, choose from the other two resorts within the Iberostar complex: the Punta Cana or the Dominicana. Both resorts are also all-inclusive and situated along the white beach & turquoise waters of Playa Bavaro. The choice is entirely yours... both "sub-resorts" are an easy walk to the central conference facilities (map).
Escape the February blahs
Maybe it will be different this February. Maybe you'll emerge from your Christmas "break" energized. And maybe this winter's weather will be amazing. But what are the odds?
What's more likely is that a planned February getaway would do you good (and indirectly, your patients too). What's also likely is that if you book today instead of last-minute, you'll snap up your preferred travel times & suite selections while saving a good bit of money.
Give your lucky loved one(s) a restorative post-Christmas getaway. Give yourself immunity to the craziness of Christmas—and to the upcoming winter weather. Book today.
The penalty for procrastination
We work with some truly first-class venues (e.g., the Iberostar) which deservedly sell out many months in advance. Unfortunately, some doctors share traits with mere mortals, including the tendency to procrastinate. Regrettably, even the most strident cries of "Do you know who I am?" cannot secure the Chief of Staff (or any other Minor Deity) the best flights and a prime suite when the snowplows are already out. You owe it to yourself and your family to book early. How early? Those who've learned their lessons and take vacations seriously snap up the prime options a year or more in advance. That's just how it is. Book today.

Most guests are staying for the week of Sunday, February 10. However, feel free to book whatever vacation duration you wish (i.e., 5, 8, 10, or 14 days), as long as your dates include the CME dates of Monday, February 11 to Wednesday, February 13.
