The 10th Annual Disney World Conference will be held Monday, December 21 to Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Disney World's Yacht Club Resort. Workshop hours are 8:00AM to 12:15PM. You're totally free every afternoon and evening to join your family in exploring the world's #1 theme park—and to delight in the joy on your children's faces.

The CME is the acclaimed three-credits-per-hour CBT for Anxiety module (you'll earn 36.0 Mainpro+ credits from just 12.0 workshop hours). Join us in Disney World and you’ll learn a marvellous set of ultra-brief techniques to help patients overcome shyness, worry, panic & other common anxiety disorders.

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is nicely warmed up after giving over 500 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year. Assistant faculty includes Angie Hong, MD, FCFP, Dip ABOM, who will be presenting on CBT for obesity. Topics include emotional eating, food addiction, the management of cravings & urges, and orthorexia (i.e., a dieting obsession).

This CME respects your time. This workshop is certified at the highest level (three-credits-per-hour) by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Our 3:1 CME saves you an incredible amount of time (and therefore money) over 1:1 CME. Just have a look at the five-year benefit calculations

Vacation CME has many advantages over local CME. See what your colleagues are saying, and explore the case for it being four-credits-per-hour CME.

Many physician leaders have been trained by CBT Canada over the past twenty years. Alumni include CFPC presidents (both national & provincial), department chairs, residency training program directorsand even a few doctors who are comfortable using drills & saws. No shirt, no shoes, no CME. However, what you do after 12:15PM each day is entirely up to you. The CMPA now refers to physician well-being as "the missing quality of care indicator", because it powerfully predicts patient outcomes. Physician, recharge yourself!

Can't make the CBT for Anxiety module in Disney World in December? No worries! CBT for Anxiety is held in Disney World q3yrs. And if you can't hang in there until December 2023, choose another groovy location

Pithy pearls... my work in the clinic would have been way easier if I'd had this training back in medical school.

Star Wars Land (SWL) is now open! Formally known as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edgethe $1 billion, 14 acre expansion was arguably the most anticipated park expansion in Disney history. The setting for SWL is the trading post planet of Batuu, located in the Outer Rim of the Unknown Regions. You & your family will join smugglers, bounty hunters, and rogue adventurers of the humanoid, alien, and droid varieties wandering down the streets of the Black Spire Outpost. Embark on a top secret mission aboard the fastest ship in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Join an epic battle on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the biggest & most immersive attraction Disney has ever created! Finally, wander into Oga’s Cantina to unwind, tell your tales, and enjoy a beverage (e.g., blue milk) amongst some of the most interesting and notorious characters in the galaxy. Toy Story Land opened at Disney World's Hollywood Studios in June 2018. You & your kids will “shrink” to the size of a toy and join Woody, Jessie, Buzz, and the other beloved toys in Andy’s $100M USD, 11 acre backyard. Take a ride on Slinky Dog Dash, a roller coaster assembled from Andy's Mega Coaster Play Kit. Go for a spin on the Alien Swirling Saucers, a galactic play set Andy won from Pizza Planet. Walk through a new carnival game box to experience the expanded 3D Toy Story Mania! Toy Story Land is a major new addition to Hollywood Studios, and is sure to be a hit with younger children (of all ages!).

Pandora – The World of Avatar is the latest addition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The themed area, based on Canadian James Cameron’s award-winning film and its long-anticipated sequels, opened in May 2017. Floating mountains, alien wildlife, and bioluminescent plants set the scene as you journey down the Kasvapan River and learn to fly with mountain Banshees. The 12 acre area features two major attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. Dining options include Satu'li Canteen, a full-service restaurant, and Pongu Pongu, if time is short.

The long-awaited Frozen Ever After ride opened at EPCOT's Norway Pavilion in June 2016. You'll arrive in Arendelle during the summer season, where the residents are celebrating the Winter Festival. After passing Wandering Oaken's Trading Post, you'll board your boat and meet Olaf and Sven. Grand Pabbie will tell the story of how Anna and Kristoff met, and then the boat will ascend to where Anna, Kristoff, Sven and Olaf are enjoying the winter weather. You'll then see Queen Elsa in her ice palace, and Marshmallow and his mini-snowman friends (from Frozen Fever). You'll return to Arendelle through a cloud of mist and experience a fireworks finale with a send-off from Elsa, Anna and their friends.

Star Wars at Disney World's Hollywood Studios has been massively expanded, bringing you closer to the epic saga than ever before. Experience Star Wars Launch Bay & Tatooine Traders, Star Wars: The Adventures Continue (a 3D, motion-simulated journey), have photo-ops with Star Wars characters behind the scenes (including Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8), and conclude your day with Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular (featuring state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, and pyrotechnics lighting up the night sky).

Disney World's Yacht Club Resort

The Yacht Club Resort is only a five-minute walk to Epcot

The Yacht Club Resort is conveniently located a five minute walk from the world-famous Epcot and the Boardwalk Entertainment District, and 15 minute walk (or a brief & fun boat-ride) to Hollywood Studios. The charming New England-style complex is situated on Stormalong Bay, a 3-acre water wonderland. The Yacht Club has by far the largest pool complex of any resort in Disney World, and all rooms were massively renovated just last year. We've negotiated rather astoundingly good rates at Disney World's freshly-renovated Yacht Club Resort ($275/night). See below.

Soak up the warm sun on the elevated tanning deck or sandy white beach. Soak, splash & slide in the resort swimming pools. Slide down one of the highest hotel waterslides in Disney World. Float down the lazy river. Watch the kids' excitement as they explore the life-size shipwreck replica.

Hit the clay courts for a set or two. Jog the scenic loop around Crescent Lake. Work out at the state-of-the-art health club. Treat yourself to a long massage at the resort’s spa. Freshen up in your luxurious, nautically-themed guestroom. Dine at five on-site restaurants, including the Yachtsman Steakhouse, Ale & Compass, Cape May Cafe, Martha's Vineyard, and Beaches & Cream

Disney's Magical Express is a stress-busting (and free) convenience for Yacht Club Resort guests. A private motorcoach whisks you from Orlando Airport to the resort in about 30min. Even better, your bags (checked in as usual at your home airport) "magically" end up in your Yacht Club Resort room! Call (407) 939-1936 to reserve.

Regular Christmas rates at the top-notch Yacht Club Resort reached a gasp-worthy $600/night in 2019. We're therefore pleased to offer you an early booking rate of $275/night for 2020. Consider arriving a bit early and/or staying a bit later: the same great rate will apply while supplies last. But rooms at $275/night are limited, and we sold out very early again last year. Reserve today!
