CBT Canada is pleased to offer a CME cruise from December 12-19, 2020 aboard the pristine $1 billion Disney Fantasy. The Fantasy is the latest & greatest ship from an extraordinary cruise line. Travel+Leisure awarded Disney Cruise Line an incredible 97% rating for families. Royal Caribbean was a sad second at 82%.

The 12.0 hour workshop is the award-winning three-credits-per-hour CBT for Depression module, certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for 36.0 Mainpro+ credits. Please join us on the Disney Fantasy and you'll gain a plethora of ultra-brief techniques to help your patients of all ages defeat depression and be happy. General interest topics covered include procrastination, perfectionism, rumination, self-criticism, self-handicapping, letting go of the past, decision-making, and evidence-based marital enrichment.

Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is limber like a monkey from giving over 500 CBT workshops, and a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year. Assistant faculty includes Alenia Kysela, MD, FCFP, Behavioural Medicine Director for the Department of Family Medicine at Queen's University, and Olivia MacLeod, MD, FRCPC, Child Psychiatrist at the University of Ottawa, and CHEO Site Training Director.

The tip-top rated Disney Fantasy always sells out early. If you book late, the Procrastinator's Punishment will be painful. Cabins currently start at $4,383 USD while supplies last. Prices include all taxes, and your companion cruises free. To join our family-focused group, email Arlene (vacation@cbt.ca) or call her at (877) 466-8228 x 333.

This CME respects your time. This workshop is certified at the highest level (three-credits-per-hour) by the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Our 3:1 CME saves you an incredible amount of time (and therefore money) over 1:1 CME. Just have a look at the five-year benefit calculations

Vacation CME has many advantages over local CME. See what your colleagues are saying, and explore the case for it being four-credit-per-hour CME.

Many physician leaders have been trained by CBT Canada over the past twenty years. Alumni include CFPC presidents (both national & provincial), department chairs, residency training program directorsand even a few doctors who are comfortable using drills & saws. No shirt, no shoes, no CME. However, what you do during non-CME hours is up to you. The CMPA now refers to physician well-being as "the missing quality of care indicator", because it so powerfully predicts patient outcomes. Physician, recharge yourself!

In our opinion there is absolutely no comparison between the quality of the family experience on a Disney cruise compared with that of any other cruise. Disney is by far & away #1 for building families. And rather remarkably, Disney gets the very highest ratings from those passengers who are traveling without children! (Bloomberg, 2017).

ARRR MATIES! Tuesday, December 15 is Pirate Night aboard the Disney Fantasy. We begin with a pirate-themed dinner, where our pirate servers will greet us with a cheerful "Ahoy matey!" and "Arrr!" (that's "hello, how are you?—I'm fine" in pirate talk). The feast is followed by a Pirates in the Caribbean show and deck party (with dancing for all).

The Fantasy is Disney's very newest ship. She's absolutely state-of-the-art, and she's gorgeous. And on May 20, 2017 she emerged from an 18-day drydocking to add in two new immersive attractions for kids: Star Wars: Command Post and Marvel Super Hero Academy (details below).

The Fantasy has Disney's legendary attention to detail. Delightfully themed venues—including youth clubs, restaurants, nightclubs and theatre spaces—take guests of all ages to faraway places. Elegance & sophistication mingle with storytelling & whimsy. Memory melds with magic throughout the ship. The Fantasy will whisk you & your family away to an age of adventure & wonder (videos).

Disney has become one of the world's top cruise lines by catering specifically to the needs of families. Travel + Leisure readers have ranked Disney the #1 Large-Ship Cruise Line for Families for eight consecutive years. Condé Nast Traveler readers have rated Disney the #1 Large-Ship Line in the World for four years running—and note that's not just for families—that's overall. And in their inaugural report on cruise lines, JD Power ranked Disney #1—not just overall, but in ALL six subcategories, beating out Celebrity, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess and Royal Caribbean in every one of them. You can definitely expect ultra-convenient facilities, sleek style, and spectacular splashes of magic aboard the new billion-dollar Disney Fantasy.

NOTE:  Disney is the most baby-friendly cruise line: the minimum age for this cruise is just six months. Young parents, this is the break you need!

The ship-shape state-of-the-art Disney Fantasy launched in 2012

Please join us and discover for yourself the comforts, services, and beauty of a ship that will capture your heart and your imagination:

  • Staterooms aboard the Disney Fantasy feature contemporary amenities, generous space, and elegant nautical decor. Considerably more intelligence is apparent in stateroom design than on e.g., Royal Caribbean. For example, most have split bathrooms (one with a tub), perfect for families and a cruise industry first.
  • Youth Clubs fulfill the recreational needs of younger guests. Special Disney-themed kids clubs, activity centers for tweens & teens, and a plethora of unique interactive programs can be found throughout the Disney Fantasy. The only downside is that sometimes kids don't want to leave the ship! NOTE: Unlike other cruise lines, infants as young as 6 months of age are permitted on board—opening up the possibility of a much needed break for those with little ones.
  • Dining options aboard the Disney Fantasy include elegant adults-only dining, gourmet main dining and mouthwatering made-to-order casual fare—in delightfully themed restaurants. Most experienced cruisers agree that Disney's food is considerably better than that of other cruise lines (e.g., Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess).
  • Entertainment aboard the Disney Fantasy, including spectacular musical live shows and first-run movies in 3-D, is available at a number of lavish onboard venues each day of your cruise—and is unlike anything else offered on the high seas. This should be expected, given that Disney is the family entertainment company.
  • Pools aboard the Disney Fantasy are terrific places to warm up, cool down, relax, and store up vitamin D. You'll find three sparkling pools—one for kids, one for families, and one just for adults. Towering over the family pool is a 24 × 14 ft LED screen showing (guess what?) Disney movies. And just one ride on the AquaDuck Waterslide will make it very clear to you that you're on vacation and not at the clinic!
  • Nightclubs & Lounges on the Disney Fantasy fill the nights at sea with casual socializing, live music and/or dancing. Many are adults-only, but the family-friendly ones are truly a blast. And Pirate Night (usually Tuesdays) is swashbuckling fun for your family's kids aged 1 to 100. ARRRRR!

This cruise (December 12-19, 2020) is one of Disney’s Very Merrytime Cruises! Share seasonal splendor with loved ones as you enjoy a merry twist on beloved traditions, including Santa Claus Meet-and-Greet, a life-sized gingerbread house, Mickey’s Tree Lighting Magic Ceremony, themed crafts for kids (e.g., decorate stockings, creative festive cards, embark on a holiday scavenger hunt), Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party, Disney character greetings (in jolly holiday attire), Storytime with Mrs. Claus, and much more. It makes a great gift (video). Watch a Very Merrytime Overview and the 12 Days of Cruising.

Disney's Port Express is a wonderful convenience for cruise ship passengers. A private motorcoach whisks you from Orlando Airport to the cruise terminal in about 45 minutes. Even better, your bags (checked in as usual at your home airport) magically end up in your cabin! $39.00 USD per person. Call (407) 939-1936 to reserve.

Taking advantage of the Fantasy's stern-to-bow WiFi, Disney's Navigator cruise app allows you to view onboard activities, review ports of call, check menus—and navigate the ship. Navigator is a snap to use, and it can definitely enhance your cruise experience. Available free from both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The baby races held in the Disney Fantasy centrum are a spectacle to behold. The cheering is loud, and prize-winners have been clocked at up to 5 meters/sec. Record-holder “Flash” Gordie Jones used a modified butt-drag with a finish line shoulder-roll to win the age “zero” (i.e., <12mo) international championship.

At the all-new Marvel Super Hero Academy, kids will learn from real-life Super Heroes the heroic values of enlightenment, worthiness and loyalty. In this innovative space you can learn the ways of the mystic arts with Doctor Strange. Children will also interact with and open portals to different locales around the Marvel Universe, and immerse themselves in an exclusive gaming experience.

The new Star Wars: Command Post takes kids on a journey to train with Star Wars heroes and help with missions against the First Order. Here you will interact with holographic models at a one of-a-kind Star Wars holotable that projects 3-D images of the Millennium Falcon, Death Star and other famous Star Wars ships, meet members of the Resistance, and learn to channel the Force.

Join Greg & Christine for the Castaway Cay 5K at 10:00AM on Fri, Dec 18, 2020. It's a very pleasant run under the palms and past the bougainvilleas of Disney's private Bahamian island. After you cross the finish line, try stand-up paddling, or snorkel around shipwrecks & underwater statues, or just lounge on the sugary-white beach. The Castaway Cay day is always fun for the whole family.

After the cruise, consider staying a few nights at Disney World's Yacht Club Resort. It's just 30min away by Port Express and walking distance to Epcot. And if you'd like a Double Dose of Disney, join us for the freshly-updated CBT for Anxiety workshop. It will be held at the Yacht Club from December 21-23, 2020 & will earn you another 36.0 Mainpro+ credits.

Please register soon to avoid weeping & gnashing of teeth.

Mark our words: This cruise always sells out fast.
